Summer Fun and Painting Projects

So...I started creating this post a while ago and just never had the time to finish it.  But now I am sitting here, not wanting to finish cleaning the kitchen floor. I think it's a good time to finish this post :) And btw, I don't feel like taking the time to upload more pics so these are just the ones I uploaded a few weeks ago. Enjoy :)

Family time, swimming and...spray paint! Yes, spray paint! (I thought I would never stop having the smell of spray paint in my nose....)
First off...swimming with Oh Wise One a.k.a. Hailey Dalton :)

Super fun!
Next, some of my projects! Before...
This night stand that my awesome sis-in-law (they are all awesome ;) gave to me...
An old, gold light that was left here...
And a funky, ugly corner cabinet we bought for $2 at a yard sale...
 After!
Our kitchen isn't really big enough for a kitchen hutch, so I made my own miniature "corner hutch." I was kinda' pleased with how it turned out :)

This used to be that old, gold too. Sorry no before pic.
The old, gold is history!
So...I guess there are certain things in this life that it really doesn't pay to try to save money on. Apparently breathing masks are one of them! We bought some breathing masks a while ago from the dollar store to put in our 72 hour kits and I decided to use one while I was painting. (I hate having that spray paint smell stuck in your nose for 3 days.) But I think I breathed in more paint with the mask on than I would have without it! I should have known that it wouldn't have worked very well when I tried it on. As soon as I tried to put it over my head the elastic straps ripped right out of the mask. I had to make holes and tie the elastic back on. So I'm pretty sure that if we ever really *needed those masks from our 72 hour kit they wouldn't do the job... Moral of the story: don't buy dollar store breathing masks!
I had paint all over my face and in my nose for the next 3 days. This picture just doesn't do it justice :)
I'm sad I don't have more pics of when our family came and stayed with us! It was fun to have them here! These are a few pics from when we went swimming at the "beach."

Conner loved pulling Azuree in her little boat.
Hope you have a fantastic day!!!

The "So Many Pic's I Don't Know What To Call This Post" Post

Ok...LOT'S and LOT'S of pics! Lemme tell ya, these were a pain to upload...so hopefully they all work and show up ok.
First off...Azuree! She is going to be one in less than a month! I can't believe how fast this last year went by!
I love this pic because if you look at the water around her you can see that she stopped splashing and playing just for a second to allow Mommy to get a picture.
Here's Monkey playing with her monkey :)
This is one of the reasons why I call her Monkey! Because she loves banana's! Here her mouth is stuffed full of banana :)
A few weeks ago we went to Christian and Melanie's wedding! It was so amazing to be able to be there when my big brother was sealed to his beautiful wife forever. There is nothing more beautiful in this world than when two people get married in the temple. I was so happy I could be there!
Anyways, Christian and Melanie are married!!!! Kiley and I are so happy for them! They are such an amazing couple and we wish them luck with everything!
I must say that I have the *coolest siblings in the whole world! THE. COOLEST.
Awww! My handsome hubby and my beautiful little girl :) I just love them!

Azuree and Aunt Symony. What beautiful girls!
We were able to get a little family pic too :)
I'm kinda sad that hand is covering up most of Azuree in this pic, but you can still see how cute all these little girls looked in their matching purple dresses!

The other day while Kiley and I were working in the yard we got caught in a crazy hailstorm! This was the biggest hail I have ever seen so I just thought I'd share :)
Azuree and Daddy watching the storm from the front porch.
Watching the storm from inside.

Kiley, Azuree and I were able to watch the eclipse with family here in Cedar and it was way fun.
That box thing in the background is one of the homemade devises that Travis and Chip made to see the eclipse. They worked really well!
This was the neatest thing ever! Did anyone else know that an eclipse did this?! Apparently when the light shines through something (like the leaves on a tree) it makes these cool circles! I had no idea it did that and was very much amazed!
There's those circle things again on Kiley's shirt.

Ok...here are some during the move/before/after pics of our house!! (It's not too hard to tell which ones are the "during the move" pic's :)

Before...

AFTER!
The yard is going to be a big project for us, but I think the new siding and roof make it look much better :)
This is the comforter set I found at a yard sale! (I love yard sale's in Cedar City)
Azuree's room so far...
My sister-in-law told me about this piano that was being sold on Craig's list for $100! I was pretty excited! I LOVE having a piano to play again!
Living room...
Remember that bathroom we started to update? Well here it is so far! My sister-in-law came and painted it for me! And I think she did an amazing job! I picked out the color and this color was a big step for me! It makes me nervous picking bold colors like this, but I thought a good place to "practice" would be in a bathroom :)
Family room...
My decorations so far in the kitchen...
A while ago Kiley and I bought some bar stools at a yard sale and I decided to paint them red to match the colors I want to do in our kitchen.
That's it for the house pic's! I didn't take pic's of all of the house because not all of the house is clean and organized yet, but I'm sure I will be posting a lot more pic's in the future!

I have to end this post with some more pic's of Azuree. I just can't help it! :)
I always find Azuree asleep in some funny positions!
The Stink Bug is her favorite position :)

Oh ya, I guess I should explain why her mattress is on the ground. While we were moving her crib the wood board that holds the mattress up broke. Hopefully we can get it fixed soon.

To end, here's a quote that made me smile :)
“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” Thomas Edison
